Description:
Oil Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Passenger Station in Mount Union, Pennsylvania, on 12 August 1960. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9856 and two more "EF" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9856 is an EFP-15 constructed in June of 1952. They're "running light" through the Station on their way to the Enola Yards.

AHC. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide that was taken at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1964. Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9856 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #9856 is an EFP-15 constructed in June of 1952 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. They're pulling a mixed-cargo freight up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West. The photographer's name and the date are not recorded.
