Here is page 17 of a 64-page booklet published by Harry P. Albrecht entitled "World Famous Horseshoe Curve, Altoona, Pennsylvania Railroad." It was first issued in September of 1973. Bottom Photo Caption: "The Class E-2 locomotive was assigned to this train at Pittsburgh. It is the 'Pennsylvania Limited' from Chicago gliding around the Curve eastbound to Altoona in 1912, enroute to New York City." This particular train was also known as the "Yellow Kid"! |
