Here is page one of a 30-page booklet published by the Pennsylvania Railroad entitled "Modern Locomotives And Cars: 1939." Pictured at the top is the "John Bull" and two vintage passenger cars. This locomotive was built in England in the 1830's and belonged to the Camden & Amboy Railroad. Depicted at the bottom is the PRR's "Tiger," a 4-4-0 "American" steam locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during 1856, later numbered "134," and sold to M&I before 1862. |
