Jacksonville Terminal Co. SW900 number 37 was switching a couple of mail-and-express cars, while the northbound CITY OF MIAMI paused in the station on its way from Miami to Chicago. The advent of Amtrak just a few months later ended the need for this big station, so the remaining passenger trains moved out on 3 January 1974. Number 37 was sold to the Seaboard Coast Line as their 232. |
