Here is a photo which first appeared in an article by Philip W. Klaus, Jr., entitled "The Newtown Square Branch." It was published in the Winter 1986-1987 issue of "The High Line" magazine, page 25. Partial Caption: "H-9s, with PT 35 freight, is about to pass over Eagle Road at Grassland.... Photo by Don Kehl; March 24, 1948." #3486 is an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata during August of 1913 and retired in April of 1950 aafter 37 years of faithful service. Nearest to the photographer is PRR N-6B cabin car #980723. Roy Healey Collection; #7 of 10. |
