MofW Equipment. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad Maintenance-of-Way Equipment in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, during July of 1960. Shown here are three tank cars (carrying water) and Motor Car #7715. They are following the Fairmont "flame thrower," and the railroader up front is spraying water on any weeds that might still be burning. This photo was taken from the southern end of the old Union Street Bridge. Also visible are box cars and hopper cars which have been marshalled for reconditioning at the Samuel Rea Shop. |
