MofW Equipment. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad Maintenance-of-Way Equipment in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 15 July 1961. Shown here is PRR light-duty Railroad Crane #6981. The cab of this unit housed the operator's controls, as well as the motor which ran on gasoline. Also visible are a WWII-era G-30 gondola (on the right) and several N-5C cabooses (one track over) that are marshalled for reconditioning at the PRR's Altoona Car Shops. This photo was taken near the intersection of Allegheny and Blair Streets. |
