The NYSW ran trains for the Marathon Maple Festival for a number of years in the 80s and>90s, using wh`tever power was available and clean, usually Alcos, though in later years it was the 142 and a variety lf SD 45s. This train had Alcos fore and aft, and we see D&H 5023, the one with the best paint, cleaned up and leading the first train for the 1989 weekend across the Chenango River, close to overflowing its banks due to spring runoff. |
