PRLX 8149 was once BNSF 8149 and BNSF 9249 before that it was BN 9249. When it wore BN Cascade Green is where I remember her best. This was the first locomotive I got to walk on when I was 5 years old. On a warm summer night this unit sat in Winfield, Mo. on the BN Hannibal Sub. (BNSF Hannibal Sub. now) and the engineer was giving tours of this unit and an EMD Oakway SD60 #9038. It was and still is one of my favorite moments of my rail-fanning life. |
