| ABO NM Sept 10 1980 -- Santa Fe U36C 8796 and an all GE consist roll over the bridge west of ABO on the Transcon approaching Abo Canyon. This locomotive was built by GE in February 1975In May 1986 it was rebuilt, renumbered and repainted to SPSF RCE receiver U36Cu/SF30C 9543. By January 1 1991 it had been repainted to ATSF 9543 and was retired before September 1997. (Roster information from atsfrr.net) |
