| Up until the mid 2000s, the old Minneapolis, Northfield, and Southern felt the weight of trains of the Twin Cities and Western bringing grain to and from Savage. Now that the Minnesota River MNS swing bridge is listed as "out of service," it is up in the air when the next train will make its weight felt on this veteran bridge over Highway 13 and the Union Pacific (ne-CNW nee-Omaha Road). |
