Description:  The power on BH 1 today is a blue Gator, borrowed from CP. Its working in the QD yard with 9 cars, and will go north at some point later today. Six axle power was quite unusual for locals and yard jobs at that time. Now NS uses C40s on the yard job here every day.

Description:  By 1992, SOO power on 390/391 trains had become pretty commonplace, so it was not a big deal to see SOO SD60s leading one, such as this train rolling up the Buffalo Runner to make a run at Belden Hill. The track leading straight into the first car of the train was once the DLW Syracuse and Utica branch, which crossed the D&H here at BX cabin.

Description:  Sometimes if there were not enough cars for two trains, 558 and 270 would be combined out of Buffalo. Such is the case here, as the 105 car train has power for both of its components, 270s power ahead, with 558s two CP units trailing. We see it at East Hornell, where it is about to meet a hi-wide Conrail extra.
