Description:
Long before a U25C loco wore the L&N number1520, this 2-8-2 Mikado had the honor. Built by Alco in 1920 as a USRA Light Mikado, the loco lasted to the 1950's when the L&N dieselized their roster. Specs - class J-3, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine weight of 292,000 lb, tractive effort of 54,724 lb. Max Miller photo
